Do accents matter in Vietnamese? Definitely. The Vietnamese alphabet only has accented vowels, so it's important to be able to type them. This is why it's so complex finding a Vietnamese keyboard. We have spent hours developing this keyboard to include all the Vietnamese accented letters.
What do Vietnamese accented vowels do? There are six Vietnamese tones, and each is represented by a distinct vowel. The tone of a word can change its meaning, so it's important to be able to type the correct vowel.
To use our online Vietnamese keyboard, you can either type and click on the Vietnamese accent that you want to insert into the text. Alternatively, you can type your content and when you want an accent, type the code below so a4 for ã, a'4 for ẵ etc.
The default with this keyboard is lowercase. If you prefer uppercase accented characters, click on the SHIFT key.There is also the option to change the size of the text that you type. Select the text size that is most comfortable for you by selecting the icon with "Ââ". When you've finished typing your text in Vietnamese, press the "copy" option at the bottom right and then paste it into your document.
